Finding that new job often turns out to much more of a challenge than many realize. If you have not had to find a new job in a long time, much has changed not only in the Job Hunting Process but in the overall job market today. The old expression that “two heads are better than one” really holds true when one is seeking a new job. Endeavoring to find new employment is difficult at best and certainly frustrating. Doing all the work yourself only makes the work more difficult. The more folks you have helping you, the better.

The SPFM Employment Assistance Program is here to help. Our free program is designed to facilitate your Job Hunt and help you navigate the new procedures, understand the requirements employers today are looking for and actually develop a Job Hunting Approach that works for you. We work with each individual to discover how best you can find that new job. Each person we help is a unique individual and as such no one job hunting approach works for everyone. Here are just some of the way in which we can assist you in your job hunt.

• Help you develop and write an effective resume.
• Help you develop a good cover letter
• If you already have a resume, we will look at your resume and see how it might be improved so it's more effective. Different industries prefer different kinds of resumes.
• We can post your resume on other job board sites for additional exposure to prospective employers to view.
• We can submit your resume to prospective new employers if you wish. This is always done with the job candidates approval. We will contact you and discuss this each time prior to submitting your resume.
• We will look at your skill sets and experience and see what other job opportunities those skill sets and experience might be transferable in to.
• We will be searching appropriate industry specific job banks and employer's website job boards that most job seekers aren't aware of and keep you informed about any and all possible job opportunities that might be a good fit for you.
• You will receive a software program that you can use to track and organize your job hunting activities.
• We can assist you in being ready for those interviews by helping you improve your interview skills and other skills useful during a job interview.
• It may sound a little commercial but we actually endeavor to market those we work with. Your skills and talents have value. Those skills and talents need to be marketed. Our goal is to see Good Qualified Job Candidates connect with Good Employers. Some times a little pre-selling of a job candidate doesn't hurt and helps open the right doors.
• We can provide a degree of career guidance and assessment.
