MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION

HOW DO I KNOW IF THE JOB HAS BEEN FILLED?

Typically if the position is no longer open, the Employer will either retire the job themselves or ask us to retire it. Our ads run until the expiration date or when an employer takes it down. Just because it's an older ad, doesn't mean the job has been filled.

HOW DO I SUBMIT MY RESUME?

There are two methods by which a job seeker can submit their resume to us.

The first is when the Job Candidate Registers with us - Job Candidate Registration . There is a place on the registration form where your resume may be attached.

The second method is to email us at spfmjobbank@gmail.com your resume. It’s better for job seekers to actually register with us because this allows us to better assist them in their job hunt.

HOW WE HANDLE RESUMES!

We do not make job seekers resumes public and we don’t submit or post them on the internet for employers to search through. The reason for this is security. Many job seekers who have done this find that they somehow get placed on other marketing types of mailing lists. There are other unscrupulous persons out there that would also use the information on your resume for nefarious purposes. We don’t want this to happen.

When an Employer contacts us requesting our assistance in helping them find job candidates, We screen that employer to make sure the person we are talking with is a genuine authorized representative of that business. Only then will we send them copies of resumes whose Job Qualifications closely match that of the employers Job Qualification. We also contact the resume holder to discuss that potential job opening to make sure that they are interested in the job. This is to make sure that the person who has submitted their resume to us doesn’t receive contact from an employer they know nothing about.

We review each resume submitted to us upon its arrival but unfortunately unless that resume is part of our online Registration Process, we are limited in how and what we can do with it and for the person submitting the resume. That is why we encourage registering with us formally as a job candidate.

HOW DO I UPDATE MY RESUME?

To update your resume, simply email us at spfmjobbank@gmail.com with a copy of your new or updated resume attached.

I SUBMITTED MY RESUME AND HAVEN'T HEARD ANYTHING, WHY?

There can be many reasons that you have not received any contact about your resume. From our experience, employers have so many resumes to go through they will only respond to resumes in which they are interested. It may not seem fair or proper but that is the way it is.

If you haven’t actually Registered with us, your resume has been place into our Resume Database and can only be used when an employer contacts us looking for potential new employees. Then we manually endeavor to connect your resume with that employer’s job requirements.

I GET EMAILS (DAILY JOB ALERTS) ABOUT JOB LISTINGS THAT DON’T MATCH MY SKILLS/RESUME. WHY?

Our Job Alert system is one that matches a persons Qualification they have submitted when they register with us with the Job Qualifications Employers have listed. If you have only submitted your resume and not actually registered, our system does not have your Qualifications to make a comparison with. As such job seekers who only submit their resume to us receive our General Daily Job Alerts which contain all the jobs posted within that given 24 hour period.

On each Daily Job Alert there are instructions on how to be removed from our Daily Job Alerts mailing list should you choose to do so.

I THINK THIS JOB MIGHT BE A SCAM. WHAT DO I DO?

The SPFM Job Bank / Job Board is what is called an Aggregator Job Board. This means that most of the job posts seen actually originated on some other job board. If you believe that a Job Post is a scam or there is something about the Job Post you feel should be reported, you need to do this through that job posts originating job board. Most job posts from other job boards have a link on each of their job posts to “Report This Post” or some similar wording.

Job Posts on the SPFM Job Bank Job Board with “Employer Submitted” showing in the “Source” portion of that post have been directly submitted to us by the employer themselves. We take every effort to make sure that those job posts are legitimate. However if you feel there is something about that job post that should be called to our attention, please email us at spfmjobbank@gmail.com with your concerns.

Please email us at spfmjobbank@gmail.com with any other question you may have.
